I specialize in EMDR, religious trauma, and marriage counseling and help you reclaim your life after complex distressing events.
You keep finding yourselves in the same fight. Sometimes it’s about money, sometimes the kids, sometimes something so small it shocks you how big it gets. You’re tired of feeling more like roommates than partners. You miss laughing together, being on the same team, feeling close. And deep down, you’re scared your kids are starting to think this is what love looks like.
Here’s the truth: you’re not broken, and your relationship isn’t beyond repair. The patterns you’re stuck in are just that — patterns. They can be understood, interrupted, and changed.

My counseling approach incorporates trauma-informed & attachment-based theories.
Sometimes it may feel like the darkness threatens to overwhelm you. Counseling offers an opportunity to be seen and supported safely in hard places. I’ve learned from my clients, community, and personal experiences that even in these dark shadows, slivers of light can shine in. Beautiful things can grow there, too.

I work with clients on anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I believe change is hard, and therapy is an endeavor that takes courage, but it's also an opportunity for growth, healing, and moving forward. If you've never been, therapy may appear intimidating, but it's really just a process of identifying areas to work on, developing goals, and then working toward those goals. It's awesome getting to work with people who are ready to start the process of change and experience the emotional, spiritual, and relational growth that happens as a result. Some of the areas I work with clients on are anxiety, depression, trauma, couples therapy, borderline personality disorder, boundaries, and others.

Priorities change. Relationships change. Careers change. Responsibilities change. Perhaps you are at a crossroads, entering a new season, experiencing a setback, encountering a situation you never anticipated, dealing with the loss of a loved one or a job, dealing with a family member with mental illness, or everything looks good on the outside, but on the inside, you know something is off and you don't know what it requires of you. Whatever your circumstance, we explore the interconnected dimensions of our lives - emotional, relational, mental, physical, spiritual, and behavioral. Sometimes, recalibration means surrendering.

Many of my clients come to therapy carrying the effects of trauma, betrayal, anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, shame, or life transitions that have left them questioning themselves and their ability to move forward.
My hope is to provide a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted—not just for what you've been through, but for who you are. I believe healing happens when we can approach our stories with both honesty and compassion, making room for the pain while also recognizing the strength that has carried us this far.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
