Therapy is a time and place set aside to focus entirely on you. I work with clients to explore issues that need special attention and to address complex problems. Over the past 20+ years, I have helped individuals, families, and couples move through difficult times. My primary focus is on helping couples, families, and individuals overcome the effects of attachment wounds and traumatic experiences so that they can find meaning and joy in life. Common issues I address are communication difficulties, conflict, healing from trauma, building emotional regulation skills, and coping with depression and anxiety.

When helping families, I collaborate with caregivers to help them effectively nurture and guide their children. Using approaches validated by research, I teach adults how to connect with, protect and teach children. While I will at times work individually with children, the bulk of family work is with just caregivers or with the whole family.

In Individual Therapy, my job is to listen differently than friends and family do. My training and experience can help you understand what you are experiencing and why, then guide you toward solutions. In Couples Therapy, I proved a safe space for couples to learn skills, deepen their connection, and build trust, often through more effective communication.
