My name is Walter Bowers, and I am a licensed professional counselor or LPC for short. I have been licensed for more than 20 years and have more than 25 years of counseling experience. I have helped many clients make positive choices regarding problems that they have presented in counseling sessions with me. The approach that I use is rational choice and is based on Dr. Robert Glasser's Choice Theory.

My profession is much more than a tool for me to earn a livelihood-it is my passion. With an extensive background in child welfare, counseling, consultation, life coaching, and the observance of resources needed for underprivileged families and services for behaviorally challenged youth, I founded Love Out Loud Counseling and Consulting Services. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address a wide range of issues in psychotherapy including: attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), behavior problems, social skills deficits, generalized anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, social anxiety, phobias, trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and general adjustment issues.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Private Practice, Ft. Payne, Alabama. I hold a BS from the University of Alabama in Child Development, Masters in Counseling from Alabama State University, and a PhD in Counseling Philosophy, from International University. I see patients from 6 years old through the 80s, five days a week, from 9:00 until 5:00. Clients come for personal issues including stress, depression, grief, employment, self esteem, empowerment, grief, addiction, relationships and marriage counseling.

My passion is helping my clients to live the best life possible by teaching them how to deal with the stress and anxiety of life. We all desire positive, productive relationships that enhance the quality of our lives, however, we often have a difficult time sustaining these relationships.
