As a Clinical Therapist my primary goal is to assist you in exploring and understanding the issues causing stress in your life. To help you explore choices and how you want to address the issues. My next goal is to assist you to move forward or learn to live affectively with the issues in a positive, healthy manner. It is not my job to solve or tell you what you need to do with your life. I ask questions to develop understanding of you and your issue. I make suggestions based on past experience with understanding of the issues presented. My responsibility is to respect the choices you want to make.

As a Veteran in long-term recovery myself, I offer clients a unique perspective of a lived experience. Our clinic offers Veterans, First Responders, their families and caregivers complete physical and mental wellness services. We actively promote a culture-of-health in our clinic and through community outreach. We regularly evaluate our effectiveness for providing Trauma-Informed Care. Our multi-disciplined clinical team includes physicians, physician assistants, psychologists, social workers, counselors, physical therapists, occupational therapists and certified peer support specialists.

Being a therapist and helping others is my passion. I love working with all ages. At the LifeVesting Group we strive to help anyone we can; from all walks of life. Lacey has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2009, and is a Counseling Supervisor with the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling of the State of Alabama. She received her Master's Degree in Community Counseling from the University of South Alabama. Lacey is a Master’s Addiction Counselor through NADDAC, currently a member of the Alabama Counseling Association and NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals. In her counseling practice, she approaches therapy with her clients from a holistic standpoint, helping them identify their needs which relate to their emotional, psychological and relational health.

I have 34 years of specialized clinical training, a commitment to the advancement of my career, and therapeutic guidance & support to my clients. I work with women of all ages, children and teens. I specialize in treating emotional and physical trauma, PTSD, family conflict, grief and loss, OCD, anxiety, and depression. I also am very passionate about my work with children and families with issues related to adoption & attachment trauma/wounds.

I received my bachelor degree in Psychology at the University of Mobile. I also have a Masters of Science degree in Community Counseling from the University of South Alabama.I have experience working with substance abuse, personality disorders, in children and adolescents, adults of all ages with depression and anxiety. I also do anger management, stress reduction therapy, family therapy, marriage counseling, group, and individual therapy.

I chose to go into the line of therapy because I wanted to help people. I realized that I had an interest and a talent for working with kids and teens. This is why I chose my speciality. I believe that they need a space where they can talk freely without fear of being judged. I work very hard on making my therapeutic space as inviting as possible as well as allow an open space for questions, comments, and/or concerns.

My goal is to provide clients with a safe, non-judgmental, affirming environment where self-exploration, growth, and positive change can occur. I work with adolescents, adults, and those in the LGBTQ+ community. I have experience working with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, abuse, depression, and anxiety.

I believe that reaching out for help takes courage and that it is a sign of strength. Through providing a safe, confidential and supportive environment, my goal is to assist people with breaking down barriers that may be preventing them from seeking the help they need.

As an experienced therapist and a good listener,I most enjoy working with a client who is motivated to make some changes in his/her life, and who is willing to think in some new ways, as well as to attempt some new behaviors. I can easily support a client who is open, honest, and self-searching, rather than very defensive. I am usually able to help those with relationship issues to effect change, to help those with addictions and compulsions, and to help clients with depression, stress disorders, and anxiety disorders. I am also experienced in dealing with grief and loss issues.

Dr. Benjamin Hill is a Neuropsychologist who provides evaluation services for individuals with ADHD, learning disorders, traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, and other neurologic and psychiatric conditions that may affect brain functioning and has published research in these areas. Dr. Hill provides assessment services for children and adults.
