I received my bachelor degree in Psychology at the University of Mobile. I also have a Masters of Science degree in Community Counseling from the University of South Alabama.I have experience working with substance abuse, personality disorders, in children and adolescents, adults of all ages with depression and anxiety. My goal in counseling is to help people overcome their difficult issues in their life, reach their goals, and become happier and more balanced individuals. I use a variety of therapies including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and prevention approaches to help the patient individually. I have worked extensively with addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, military life issues, and health-related concerns. I have been a counselor for over 15 years.

I have 21.5 years total clinical psychology experience working with children to older adults. I have worked in a military outpatient setting as a mental health provider for 10.5 years, half of that time as an active duty officer, and have received annual training in police psychology for 7 years. I conduct therapy from a multicultural perspective, and operate from a perspective of mind, body, and spirit as commensurate with the client's values.
