In addition to providing counseling and therapy to individuals,
couples
, and families, I have facilitated several groups in the area, and also provide training and consultation to agencies and organizations, including focus on clinical supervision topics and in suicide prevention.
I think of you as a team-member in counseling, and I like to learn from your narratives, while developing approaches to solve or manage your challenges. I was in practice full time from 1988-2013, and part time since 2013, when I began teaching in Counselor Education at the University of Montevallo. I see myself as a "critical thinker" in academia, and as a "clinical thinker" through counseling, with both those dimensions enhancing the other. I consider it my life's most meaningful privilege to walk with persons who, sometimes courageously, trust the process of personal discovery through counseling.
