I founded Chaos Therapy around a simple but radical idea: life is chaotic, and the goal isn't to eliminate the chaos but to find the order within it. If you've been told you're too much, too complicated, too sensitive, too far gone, you are exactly who I built this practice for. I'm not your typical therapist, and that's by design. With over 20 years in social services, I've worked alongside people in some of the most demanding, complex, and overlooked corners of human experience: inpatient and in-home therapy, homeless outreach, and academic research. That breadth isn't just my résumé, it's shaped how I think about healing.

Anxiety leaves us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, and lonely. You're someone who "has it all together" but you still find yourself struggling with self esteem and anxiety, second guessing yourself professionally and personally. You may worry whether you are doing things right and notice you put a lot of pressure on yourself. But you're ready to make a change. You're ready to feel less anxious. You're ready to feel happy and more carefree. Most of all, you're ready to be ok with making mistakes, trust yourself, and feel more confident. I want to help you get there.

Have you built a successful life on paper but still feel unfulfilled, disconnected, or emotionally drained? You’ve likely mastered the art of handling everything — career, relationships, family — yet something feels out of alignment. You’re not alone in that feeling, and it doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re ready to pause, reassess, and realign with what truly matters.

Most people I work with aren’t broken. They’re overwhelmed, stuck in their heads, or caught in patterns that don’t make sense to them anymore. Maybe you’ve tried to figure it out, reading, thinking, analyzing, but nothing seems to create real change. You might find yourself replaying conversations in your head, lying awake at night thinking, feeling disconnected in your relationships, or just tired of carrying so much on your own. That’s the kind of work I do with people.

Sometimes life experiences leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected. Many people seek therapy not because something is "wrong" with them, but because they have been carrying too much for too long. Emotional pain is often shaped by individual experiences, relationships, family roles, cultural expectations, and societal pressures. When emotions become overwhelming, it can feel as though we've lost clarity or a sense of agency. Without the right support and tools, moving forward can feel exhausting or impossible, especially when challenges show up in our closest relationships.

Narcissistic Personality (NPD) Therapists
What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.

How do therapists treat NPD?
By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.

Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?
Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.

How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?
It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
