My therapy style is warm, compassionate, and patient-centered - grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. I value whole-person and whole-family care, with everyone being met where they are. I aim to create a culturally responsive space where patients feel seen, valued, and empowered to navigate life's challenges. Patients can expect the first meeting approached with curiosity, and we work together to begin shaping a treatment plan that feels supportive and meaningful.
Patients often share that they experience my presence as calming, and that they feel heard, understood, and not judged in our work together. Many describe feeling safe to be their authentic selves, reporting increased self-awareness, improved emotion regulation, healthier communication and boundary-setting, and reduced anxious and depressive symptoms.
I spent a year providing mental health services at a center dedicated to South Asian communities, while also working with other individuals from a wide range of racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. As an Indian American and South Asian-identifying individual myself, I know the importance of culture in how people understand themselves.
