We hold the key to all the answers we need on our journeys to self - actualization. In this day and time of fast-paced, quick stimulation and fixes gratification, we miss those opportunities to slow down and really listen to the our "spirit", our "gut instincts", the signs and signals our own body send to us to alert us when we are "out of balance" mentally and emotionally. As a result, we become clouded with doubts, mixed-messages, insecurity, etc. Right now, what is needed are those specific tools and strategies - just for you, in order to life to the fullest! Right Now! Let me help you in your journey to be the best you.
I incorporate a non-judgmental approach in developing a positive client / therapist relationship, while partnering with and assisting the client in identifying effective solutions to issues the client experiences. I provide multi-model / eclectic orientation, using psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral approaches to treatment.
I utilize appropriate techniques for each individual's specific situation. My goal is to support stability, autonomy and self-actualization. I provide a culturally conscious, safe and confidential conversation environment that supports emotional wellness and transformation.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT provides new skills to manage painful emotions and decrease conflict in relationships. DBT focuses on four areas. 1) mindfulness - improving one's ability to accept and be present in the current moment. 2) distress tolerance - increasing a person’s tolerance of negative emotion, rather than trying to escape from it. 3) emotion regulation - strategies to manage and change intense emotions that are causing problems in a person’s life. 4) interpersonal effectiveness - consists of techniques that allow a person to communicate with others in a way that is assertive, maintains self-respect, and strengthens relationships.
