About
“What matters?” This is one of the most important questions I can ask of my clients. Without knowing what matters what they are passionate about, neither of us know why we are in the “room." To figure out the why (Why WOULD I do my homework, why would I go to practice, etc.) gives us a meaningful direction. Also let’s talk about fun. Isn’t that the whole point of NOT being an adult? If I’m not enjoying the session, I can bet my client is definitely not. I work hard to ensure a relaxed and welcoming environment that is filled filled with unconditional positive regard, hard work, humor, flexibility and appreciation, and fun.
I specialize in sports psychology approaches with student athletes, including improving performance, mindfulness skills, loss of sport, and recovery from injury. I work full-time as a provider with UW Behavioral Health.
Every human being experiences anxiety, sadness, shame, fear, loneliness, anger, sometimes at unhelpful levels. I help children, teens, & young adults normalize and approach these emotions by providing a space to approach and find workability. Please reach out if interested in learning more for yourself or your child - teletherapy appts evenings & weekends.
