About
There are many reasons people seek counseling; regardless of the reasons, I believe an enhanced sense of self understanding and acceptance is essential in all situations. Adjustment disorders, anxiety, grief and depression are issues faced in today's society that make it difficult to feel happy and content with life. I am a psychotherapist with years of experience helping individuals overcome and manage difficult life transitions, career change, stress, anger problems, grief and loss, women's issues, self- harming behaviors and difficult adjustments to high school, college marriage, raising kids, retirement, and aging. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
I focus on the whole person, body, mind and spirit. I believe that everyone experiences difficulties in their lives and the counseling relationship is a space for clients to express feelings, receive validation and support. Exploring what works for you is a process unique to you and your individual strengths.
Since I have extensive experience and training in the areas of collegiate, career and guidance counseling, I am equipped to provide consultations for parents, teachers, and school counselors in composing Educational Development and Behavior plans.
