Are you an athlete, or performer, and struggle with mental health issues, (i.e. depression, anxiety, substance abuse, etc.)? I’m a mental health psychotherapist who exclusively treats athletes and performers. Treatment includes but is not limited to helping athletes and performers work through performance blocks, enhance performance levels, manage stress and anxiety, learn to find alternatives to self-harming behaviors, developing skills to manage pressure, drug counseling and addressing finding identity after leaving the sport.
I think as a Brainspotting therapist, aware of neuroscience and how the brain works. Some changes can only be made in the parts of the brain where memory and emotion are stored. This especially true with performance blocks. I will assist you with tapping into your own innate healing system so YOU can create long term change.
I started working with athletes and performers because their needs are unique and very often neglected. I noticed there were very few psychotherapists working with this population, so I created my practice to specialize in working with athletes as they face challenges on and off the playing field, stage, or camera set.
