About
In my practice, I offer support and guidance with responsiveness, empathy, creativity, and psychological insight as you face life's difficulties and transitions. I work with both trauma-related and pervasive mental illnesses to ordinary life events and challenges. As your therapist, my job is to help you tap into the limitless storehouse of resilience inside of you and your innate ability to heal, move towards health and wholeness, and not just survive, but thrive in this world. Together, we can transform the poison in your life into the medicine of wisdom and compassion.
My clinical experiences include: domestic violence and sexual assault shelters; the VA; community mental health; high school and middle school settings; inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive, and outpatient treatment programs for eating disorders. I utilize trauma-centered psychotherapy to treat PTSD symptoms and traumatic experiences.
I am a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) and Board Certified Trainer (BCT) and a certified Developmental Transformations (DvT) practitioner. I often use action-oriented and interactive methods when appropriate. I am also a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).
