Whether you are a preteen, teen or a young adult, a lot of changes and challenges may be coming your way that you may not fully understand. You might be in a stage in your life where you feel confused and are trying your best to grow into the person you want to be. Perhaps you need help understanding how to better cope with your stress and anxiety when it comes to certain stressful situations and/or life transitions. Perhaps you need support in exploring your cultural identity or sense of self. It is important that you feel listened to and validated especially when you are navigating through life's challenges.
My education, training and experience prepared me to understand cultural and diversity issues and how this plays a role in mental health. I have worked with young adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety/social anxiety, depression, trauma and cultural issues. I have also worked with children who have experienced trauma.
I have worked with a diverse population including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I.e. autism spectrum disorder) in a clinical setting. If you feel that you need support to get you through your current life challenge(s), please feel free to contact me.
