I have spent my career, spanning over more than 20 years, helping people find what they are looking for. Helping come naturally to us. Our staff has the education, training, and experience to help you navigate the roadblocks in front of you. We understand it. We get roadblocks (and sometimes thick concrete walls) too. You won't be judged here. You'll be accepted as you are and then equipped with tools that will help you find what you are looking for. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Though relationships can be a source of joy and excitement, they can also leave us feeling resentment, heartache, and loneliness. I help individuals and couples to be heard, understood, accepted and feel connected. It is then that they can let go of unhealthy patterns and negative roles that keep them feeling stuck. Many of my clients are unable to see where they may be contributing to their suffering. Therapy can provide a strong foundation for growth, change and possibilities to show up as our best selves and create a life we enjoy living.

Even in the 21st century, "having issues" still carries a stigma. Therapists are here to help you make your life better, but we are still not fully understood by the public. I'm guilty of not understanding dentists. I went to the dentist "only when" the pain was so bad I couldn't stand it, or "only when" I had to have a tooth yanked. Only in mid-life, after years of misery, did I understand dentists as being real doctors. Now, I respect the connection between healthy gums and healthy heart and I spare myself the prolonged anguish.

I prefer clients who have the courage to risk coming in for an appointment facing the unknown and leaving their session with a sense of self acceptance, performance confidence and some tools with which to better manage their thought, feelings, and behaviors. Regardless of their presenting problems, I want to present a "no judgment zone". I have a sign in the waiting room that states, "I Will Not Should On Myself Today". Demands cause emotional problems while preferences seldom do. A place where active listening makes a difference. I discover many clients return to learn and experience more.

Despite all the uncertainty, you're working to be positive and move forward. But a constant hum of stress continues: work, money and conflict in the streets. You've pushed on and shrugged off healthy habits that could calm the stress, saying, "It'll be better when the chaos dies down." You're resistant to the podcaster's advice: 'pivot, plan, set new goals.' You're just trying not to lose your business! So you bury your emotions, keep moving, and wish away the exhaustion and negative thoughts. You know what's helped in the past. But the stress seems like it's once again outside of your control. The external forces are just too big.

For 36 years I have been an attorney and had clients with varying backgrounds and issues. My retirement plan from the practice of law was to use all that experience to help others so now I am an LPCC hopefully touching lives in a helpful manner. I have seen how lives can be affected in a negative manner by divorce, drugs, crimes, and health issues which include mental health issues. Society puts more pressure on our lives daily and there is always a way to deal with life on life's terms. Come sit with me awhile and we will deal with life.

You've been going through it. Your partner, friends, and family see it too. You just want to move on with your life, but don’t know how. It happens to us all at some point, but you're still unsure about talking to someone. Going to therapy is a huge step for yourself because you've felt tired of be tired long enough. For me, the therapy experience goes best as a conversation between people as if over coffee or tea. If this sounds like you, it looks like you're up for a chat. I’m looking forward to joining your journey.
