The groups I offer are: African American Women's Wellness; African American Men's Wellness; Stress Management; White Women's Racial Identity.
The adversities we face in life often lead us to keeping our emotions at arm’s length, but the tricky part is that those emotions tend to show up one way or another. It could be through an argument, eating habits, shopping, isolating, or other behaviors that manifest as depression and anxiety. Consistently connecting with your emotions can be a daunting prospect, however I would love to support you in your journey. I believe you are the expert on you and my role is to create a space to deepen your understanding of yourself and provide the tools to accomplish the goals we set together.

My programs work, because I am the master of creating safe spaces for Black women and their children to unapologetically be themselves.
Welcome to my humble abode! My name is Terri Tanisha, and I'm here to help you break your family's generational curses and overcome trauma. I specialize in working with Black women and their youth, as together we explore how our ancestral trauma impacts our role as parents and how we show up for ourselves and in our relationships. Currently, I am enrolling mothers for my group program -- L.I.T. Hikes for Black Moms. These hikes are specifically designed to help Black mamas and their daughters (pre-teens & teens) connect, strengthen, and heal their mother daughter relationships.

As a black therapist, I can offer a lived experience perspective to help you work through the extra things you're dealing with that might be impacted by your own identity.
I help aspiring people find new meaning of life by sorting through feelings of worry and hopelessness instead of avoiding them like an annoying telemarketer. My clients struggle just like you do. Despite being successful, intelligent, and as sweet as a Georgia peach, life is hard. When they first come in, they feel overwhelmed with every aspect of their life. What once seemed like a small hurdle has turned into an Olympic sport to overcome. They can hardly remember feeling motivated and feel like joy has vanished.

I also specialize in working with and improving the mental health of minority and marginalized emerging adults, specifically within our Black and LGBTQIA+ community members.
Are you experiencing difficulties in your family relationships or a relationship with your significant other? Or, are you at a point in your life where you are overwhelmed with conflict, hardships, and other stressors? Life can be a struggle at times, and it can be difficult finding balance on your own. Seeking additional support is the first step in re-authoring your story and creating the life that you want for yourself. With this in mind, I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and should be unique to each client and their needs.

Are you struggling with corporate stress or anxiety? Relationship challenges? Depression? Old hurts from the past you can no longer ignore? Difficult family dynamics? Work or personal life issues? Do you need a space where it's ok to NOT be ok? Ever think to yourself, "There must be more than this", but need help discovering what that looks like for YOU? If so, you are not alone.
