I provide a safe and accepting environment to heal from past traumas, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. At first I'll help you identify where these difficulties come from, followed by learning and practicing ways to manage negative symptoms, and last we work together to resolve these issues at the root so you don't have to worry about them reoccurring. I want you to know you matter and what you are experiencing matters. You do not have to keep going through this alone. Overwhelming feelings of fear, anxiety, grief, sadness, or anger can impact your ability to function in your work, school, social or intimate relationships. Sometimes these feelings are connected with traumatic life events such as abuse experienced in childhood or traumatic events that happened to you in your adult life such as rape, COVID 19, car accidents, work related, marital affairs, or any event you define as being an emotionally disturbing experience.

I've worked with adolescence and families for around 25 years in a variety of settings. These settings include being a youth / children's pastor prior to starting my counseling journey. Much of my experience involves working with those that struggle with abuse, depression, relationship conflict, self harming behaviors, legal issues, and behavior problems. Although I am licensed to practice counseling through the State of Texas, I am a Christian and the fundamentals of my practice are in line with traditional Christian faith.

Trauma comes in many forms and can wreck havoc on your life and the life of those around you. At times it can feel like chaos is surrounding you. My goal is to help individuals to get through their emotional problems and traumatic experiences and to heal the pain they feel. I believe in a close connection of body, mind and spirit and think that counseling can very well be approached from this perspective. I have experience with individuals from many different cultures, mentalities, beliefs, religions, and behaviors. I want to help clients heal and become whole again. I want to help them prosper, move forward in life and get what they deserve.

My journey in counseling is helping persons surviving trauma in their lives. You may be a Veteran, a Responder, or a family/loved one/friend. You may also be a survivor of child abuse.. Trauma has many forms such as our occupation, abusive past, or it may be a single incident that has occurred ex: vehicle accident, witnessing a violent incident where somebody else was hurt/killed or other extremely upsetting event in life. Everyone wants an emotionally connected relationship and happy life; however, achieving these can sometimes be difficult. I specialize in couple’s and trauma counseling and am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and EMDR. I work with couples who feel stuck in a repetitive cycle of arguments and unmet need and adults who find past trauma interfering with their happiness now. My specialties include couples struggling with communication, conflict resolution, and sex or intimacy concerns. Additionally, I work with adults and couples who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment.

I provide person-centered, psychodynamic counseling services by partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal potential. Therapy provides support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that clients already have in order to improve the quality of their lives through individual, couples, and family work. I prefer working with adult individuals suffering from existential crises who require identity development work through continual psychotherapeutic treatment. I believe in holding client's accountable for their actions and trusting them to grow and develop.

My passion is seeing people find solutions to their questions. Sometimes the problems of life deplete our resources.
