My practice is founded on treating clients with a comprehensive psychosocial approach. Most individuals realize medication can temporarily retard the progress of symptoms through symptom reduction. Alone, medication cannot resolve the personal issues associated with long term increases in quality of life. I believe my best professional strengths are an abiding respect for the individual coming into my office, and a reliable resource to explore, educate and inform persons about critical life issues.

I have worked in the addiction and mental health field for over 34 years working in substance abuse, eating disorders, co-occurring disorders and codependency with both adult and adolescents. I have been in my own recovery for over 36 continuous years and have dedicated myself to helping those still suffering from addiction and mental health issues. Infidelity and betrayal trauma is a focus of mine. I work with female partners who have experienced the devastating blow of infidelity or sexual addiction of their spouse. I work from a trauma perspective and aim to provide hope and healing from this life shattering event. I am part of a team of counselors, male and female, who work together to aid healing and change for each partner and for the couple's relationship, if appropriate. While many clinicians work in this area of practice, I have formal training in navigating the complex issues related to betrayal.
