Terence is a Licensed Social Worker who works with adults and couples who are struggling with issues related to relationships, depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. Many of Terence’s clients come to therapy because they are struggling to make the progress they want in their lives. Couples are often serious about creating change but aren't sure how to resolve issues or bring their relationship to the next level. Terence creates a safe space where clients can experience their emotions. He invests in their journey and honors who they are.
Terence uses a holistic approach, with evidence-based interventions such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Hypnotherapy to help my clients. These methods have been shown to aid in alleviating symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain and grief.
Terence’s own journey as a New York City Firefighter and Peer Counselor helps him to understand the places his clients are coming from, the frustrations and difficulties they are facing, and the emotions they are trying to understand and overcome.
