Trust and acceptance are key factors for success in therapy. My goal is to create an atmosphere where both are fostered. The focus of treatment is to offer a non-judgmental look at the problems and work to incorporate new ways of approaching them.
I work with a variety of issues people experience, including victims of abuse (physical or sexual), as well as trauma victims in general (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder). I also work with Sports Performance Issues to achieve optimum levels of performance.
My approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however, I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy which is a preferred treatment for trauma.
