I provide counseling services to help individuals address challenges like anxiety, depression, religious or spiritual struggles, major life transitions, substance abuse, grief and loss, anger management, and trauma. My approach to the therapeutic relationship is warm, compassionate, and solution-focused.
Having spent my early career working in 30-day residential treatment programs, I have learned a lot about how to help clients get to the root of issues, stop “just surviving,” and start thriving. I use CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Processing Therapy to help clients along the path to thriving.
As someone who has experienced many challenges in life, I have come to believe that shame is an ineffective way to motivate someone to change. Many people never learn a different change strategy, and they believe they struggle because they are just not being hard enough on themselves. Together, we can find a way to help you be compassionate to yourself.
