I provide individual therapy for adults who want to gain self awareness and improve their overall quality of life. I work with people on issues related to anxiety, depression, relationships and intimacy, work-related stress, family conflicts, self-esteem, grief and loss, as well as aging and navigating major life transitions. I adapt my work to the client's unique needs, strengths and goals.
I use a combination of treatment modalities, including Psychodynamic Therapy (developing insight), Family Systems Theory (recognizing the role of the family as a whole), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (noticing your thoughts and how they shape behavior).
For many years I have worked in primary care, emergency medicine, schools and community mental health. I've collaborated closely with Berkshire County health, educational and human service providers. My style is respectful, warm, open, and practical. My focus is on fostering safety, awareness, and growth in the therapeutic environment.
