Using a humanistic and transpersonal approach, we explore how longstanding beliefs and values affect how you feel about yourself and about the choices you make. My primary goal as a psychologist is to help the client work towards reducing their suffering and enhancing their health and resiliency. I work with adults that may be experiencing a variety of challenges including increased stress, anxiety, depression, anger management, and trauma recovery. I provide psychological assessments for a variety of complaints, and ground my counseling work in scientific, evidence-based interventions such as Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnosis training, and various mindfulness-based interventions.

Ashley loves working with adolescents, teens, adults, and couples presenting with diverse challenges in life. She recognizes that daily struggles often start to feel like battles, and her goal in her sessions is to foster a space for clients where they can let down their armor, study it, polish it, and feel more at peace beneath it. Ashley values holding clients accountable without judging them and challenging clients without belittling them. I have worked with individuals ages 4-87 from a variety of different cultural and religious backgrounds. We all face grief, loss, betrayals, and transitions either through difficulties such as death, divorce, infertility, or other disappointments. For some, these experiences can create spiritual woundedness, depression, anxiety, or a dip in self-esteem, especially if there is a lack of family or community support. Working through these things can be hard but for the client who is willing to tackle their loss, there is also hope. I partner with my clients to help them discover their own innate wisdom that resides within their souls to help bring about reconcilation and healing.

I AM NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. Why get therapy? It's hard work and involves change. But for most people, it's worth it. Therapy is taking care of and investing in yourself. It means you are ready to look at the parts of your life that are not working well-the parts that are hurt, broken or in pain. As your therapist, I will listen with empathy and compassion. Together, we will establish goals and focus on what might make your life better by helping you build resilience and develop coping skills. Through this work, you can learn to be in healthy relationships with others and ultimately with yourself.

I have experience and great passion for helping those individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, fear, and the memories of past traumatic experiences that continue to have an affect on how they live their lives today. After meeting with and learning more about you, we will together decide on the most effective type of therapy to help you move forward with your life. Many therapies can be successful but I believe it ultimately comes down to the relationship that develops between the client and therapist, and the amount of work and effort put into making change happen.

Therapy is a place for yourself or your loved one to take time to build self-care, self-reflection, insight and skills to manage the symptoms they are experiencing. Many adults and youth experience symptoms of depression, anxiety or are overcoming issues of past trauma that plays in to their ability to go about life. Sometimes relationships, school or work are harder to navigate, build or maintain. Sometimes self-esteem and self-worth can interfere with our abilities to experience healthy relationships whether that is with friends, peers or family members.
