I have a passion for working with adolescents and with clients living with anxiety and depression. I am gifted at working with clients to transition through the grieving process and supporting those who have experienced trauma. Additionally, I am adept at working with women who struggle in their relationships. A licensed psychotherapist and special education teacher, I received my Master's degree in Social Work at Simmons College in Boston and my Master's degree in Special Education at Rhode Island College.

My focus in treatment is meeting my clients where they are while assisting them in determining where they want to be. I put concerted effort into providing compassionate, holistic care for each person and family I work with. I will work collaboratively with you and/or your child to uncover strengths, goals and ways to strengthen relationships and improve communication skills.

I have vast experience in working with adults, families, children and adolscents. I am dedicated to providing people with the support and guidance they need to achieve goals, learn coping mechansims and invest in leading an overall healthy lifestyle for your mind, body and spirit. I have experience working with miltary members/families, ADHD, behavioral issues in children, anxiety, depression, bipolar, life transitions, grief, trauma, Autism and several other areas.

Current practice is provided 100% through telehealth. I work with preteens, teens, and adults, holding a certification for the treatment of Child and Adolescent Anxiety as well as a certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies. I place high value on providing compassionate, holistic care for each person and family I work with. I will work collaboratively with you and/or your child to uncover strengths and problem solving abilities, broaden self-awareness, increase distress tolerance, and when appropriate to decrease the body's overactive response to anxiety and stress. Together we will identify pathways to reach your therapeutic goals.

My approach is to identify the clients' therapeutic needs with compassion. My goal is to help clients to identify their presenting problem, understand their thoughts and actions, and guide them towards awareness and concrete resolution. Behavior is changeable but only by the person that has the behavior not by his/her partner, parent, friend etc.

Kristen Reber is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Rhode Island. She is dedicated to continued education and constant growth as a clinician to best suit her clients needs. Abby Celano is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who has been practicing since 2010. Abby has experience working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital with both adolescents and adults. She is here to assist you in your journey to feeling better and improving your mental health. Abby believes a collaborative relationship will be most effective in helping you feel your best. You are the expert on you, Abby is here to help you along your journey. She uses a strengths-based approach and is also comfortable utilizing both CBT and DBT skills.

Dr. Elaine Walen is a licensed Psychologist in Rhode Island with a strong background in developmental psychology. Her Bachelor's degree is in early childhood development, and she was a second-grade teacher. She has Master's degrees in developmental psychology and educational psychology, and a doctoral degree in counseling psychology. Dr. Walen is currently providing affirming care through full-battery psychological and neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan.

I am a LMHC practicing in Providence RI. I have extensive experience with children, specializing in trauma and behavioral issues, through my work as a school adjustment counselor and in the residential treatment setting as a clinician, for over 20 years. Greetings! My name is Dr. Christine McAuliffe. Since "McAuliffe" can be a mouthful & takes way too much time to type (and not just for kiddos!), I also go by "Dr. M." As a clinical psychologist, my career has been focused on the needs of children, adolescents, young adults, parents and families utilizing a community-based, multi-systemic perspective. Greetings, I have a MSW from Boston University and a BS in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Rhode Island. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Since obtaining my MSW I have worked in a Family Service agency counseling children and adults, as a care coordinator for high risk pregnant women in a prenatal clinic located in the inner-city of Providence, as a Clinical Social Worker for 20 years on adult inpatient psychiatric units located in a general hospital and for the past 14 years have been servicing adults 18 years old and older as a psychotherapist in outpatient practices.

My commitment as a therapist is to provide a warm and affirming environment where clients can receive support metabolizing trauma and restore a sense of safety, trust, and authentic re-connection to themselves.
