I have over 20 years of experience helping adults, young to mature, navigate through a variety of problems - relationship difficulties, anxiety and stress, depression, and spiritual struggles to name a few. I believe in collaborative therapy, where we put our heads together to assess the issues and set goals. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy can help resolve the symptoms that affect daily life. When desired, Insight Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy can get to the root of the problem.

As a psychologist, counselor, and evaluator, I look at sessions as a collaborative process. Together we work towards making the changes my clients desire so that they experience more contentment, peace, satisfaction and success. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps people learn skills that last a lifetime. I am a licensed psychologist with over twenty years experience as a counselor, therapist, and diagnostician, and am active in training therapists.

At Kesselman Clinical Associates, we are creating a community where you and your family can find understanding and support. We provide individual treatment for children, teens, and adults, as well as group, couples, and family therapy, and we offer in-person or telehealth sessions.

I provide individual and group counseling services as well as educational programs across the life span. I operate from an existential, humanistic, person-centered philosophy that emphasizes meaning in one's life, self-actualization, responsibility, and relationships. I view counseling from a tripartite approach where I assist my clients with self-awareness, gaining knowledge, and developing strategies to manage effectively and successfully the various transitions they are experiencing in their lives. I employ my diverse training and integrate a multiplicity of therapeutic interventions that yield optimum results for the individual.

Michele was raised in eastern Pennsylvania where she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in psychology. She has held a Pennsylvania counseling license since 2002 and Michele is an Advanced ART Practitioner. She is the founder of Heart of the Matter LLC. Michele focuses on a broad range of treatment issues including PTSD, Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, OCD from preschool through adult clients. Also, Michele works with families to improve family dynamics and relationships.

If you have tried everything to quit addictive eating and nothing seems to stick, it can be devastating. There IS hope! I have been in practice for 30 years. I specialize in helping people overcome addictive eating (compulsive overeating, bulimia, binge eating, emotional eating) and food/weight obsession. I also have extensive experience supporting people dealing with alcohol and drug addictions, codependency and family issues. I love to work with people at all levels of recovery. I use a physical, emotional and spiritual approach. Faith and spirituality is a strong part of my practice as I believe we need to change from the inside out.
