I specialize in a condition called psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES) or dissociative seizures. This is a psychological condition in which emotional stress is "converted" into physical symptoms that look a lot like epileptic seizures. Most patients come to our program when they have seizures that are not responding. Once a patient is diagnosed with PNES and is referred to see me, I offer therapies designed to target the main symptoms (seizures, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and stress coping). Many adult patients diagnosed with PNES have traumatic histories and need trauma-based therapies. I am certified in prolonged exposure and use this to treat those patients.

In practice I use a pragmatic, results-oriented approach and am not tethered to one particular psychoanalytic modality. Rather, recognizing each patient has unique needs, I draw from many therapeutic approaches that best fit each patient. In my practice, I can quickly assess which techniques will work best to meet each client's individual needs to show patients that they can have the right tools to reach their optimal comfort level in their careers, families, and relationships. The goal is bridging the gap and finding the most productive pathway between where clients are and where they want to be.

Although I started out specializing mainly in treating young children and families my practice has expanded over the years to include adolescents, adults and couples. I am intensively trained and qualified to provide DBT to adults, teens, children and families and also have the certification in DBT-PE for treating adults with trauma histories. Additionally I am trained in Trauma Focused Child Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and have worked with children who struggle with many types of trauma.
