Do you sometimes have a hard time accepting parts of yourself or feelings you are experiencing? It can be hard to set boundaries, ask for needs or express challenging emotions, and therapy can serve as a place to practice these skills to eventually use them outside of therapy as well. My practice is informed by trainings in social justice and anti-oppression, trauma-informed counseling, and motivational interviewing as well as my identities as a white, queer, Jewish, gender-nonconforming clinician. I am passionate about people in the fullness of our stories. We are complicated and we are more than any one diagnosis or label.

In a society that teaches us that we have an array of choices, why do we feel so constrained? In a culture that encourages us to follow our passions, why do we feel our hands are tied? And in a city that celebrates a multiplicity of voices, why is it so hard to find our own? It is the invisible fetters - those hidden inside us - that often restrict us most. The goal of psychotherapy, as I practice it, is to free ourselves of these restraints.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in psychotherapy for clients with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, difficulty coping after an event, and life transitions. The therapy is based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) yet is individualized to help you achieve your short and long term goals.
