Therapy is a collaborative relationship, so we will work together to understand the unique issues that are important to you. My clients are adults in various stages of life, navigating relationships, work, difficult decisions and life transitions. Talking through these issues with a neutral professional who is able to listen and respond to your individual situation can lead to reduced anxiety, more effective ways to manage emotions and behaviors, and feeling in-control instead of resentful and overwhelmed.
I help clients to understand the influence of past relationship patterns on current situations, to better understand behavioral and emotional reactions that were adaptive in the past but may be less helpful in the present. Besides psychotherapy, I am also able to offer EMDR. I support teens and adults with ADHD by helping them understand their unique brains.
I favor a relational approach, acknowledging our basic need for connection to others, and how early attachments and experiences affect relationship patterns and behaviors. Therapy can help you make sense of complex feelings, turn confusion into clarity, and can help you realize you have more agency and choices in your life than you previously thought.
