I have been a practicing psychotherapist for 30 years.I have worked in a variety of clinical settings,recently,working for NBC Universal Studios as a psychotherapist and production consultant. My areas of specialty are treating depression and anxiety issues,couples therapy and children/adults with ADD/ADHD. I work with men, women, adolescents, families and couples. I am a psychologist who works with adults in individual and group psychotherapy. My approach is integrative in nature meaning that, depending on the needs of my clients, I seek to relieve distress through providing emotion regulation and other skills while also working towards long-term change by gaining insight into problematic thought patterns and relationship cycles. I specialize in working with clients who are seeking therapy for emotion- and relationship-based problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and anger issues.

In my calm, safe, confidential office, I am currently offering HIPAA secure Online video sessions using a HIPPA-compliant secure platform or phone consultations. We integrate CDC guidelines for COVID-19 for any inperson sessions. My 25 years of clinical experience have taught me about the courage those facing complex life difficulties bring to psychotherapy. Adults, children and adolescents are given help finding solutions. Mindfulness techniques which I have discovered the value of through a 25+ year meditation practice are also of benefit to clients who are looking to make life changes.

At the Partnership for Trauma Recovery we believe that true healing happens when we find the courage to look at the root of the long standing patterns and difficulties we have. While learning to cope with the daily burdens of these patterns is an important skill, our philosophy is that simply learning to manage only places a bandage on the problem. In order to truly heal we have to look deeper into ourselves and try to determine where these patterns developed.

We focus both on here and now and historical events. TAT (Tapas Acupressure Technique), mindfulness, sensorimotor psychotherapy and EMDR-Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing help re-program stored arousal in the body.

My therapeutic partnership history is with folks who have not seen themselves reflected or heard in traditional wellness or therapy spaces. Some focus areas are complex trauma, substance misuse, and severe mental illness, highly sensitive/empathic folks, ASD and neurodivergent folks, strengthening self-compassion and building shame resilience, navigating liberation and justice, trauma-informed work, body liberation + supporting those recovering from diet culture and body stigma, furthering gender, racial liberation, and those impacted by the criminal and family court systems.

Relationships in Crisis: We Have Several Private Couples/Marriage Workshops & Individual Sessions, in order to Rapidly Accelerate Your Healing & Your Communication Process (Traditional 45 min. session Simply Does Not Work). During these 2 to 4 weeks, we will see both of you Together & Individually, as well as Help each of you Learn the Art of Empathy, Sensitivity & Compassion. These Workshops are Informative & Powerful, in order to Accelerate the Healing Process & Stop any further Damage from Occurring. In Addition, Our Success RATE is 85% of Our Couples that have Successfully Completed Our Couples Workshops or Alcohol Treatment.
