I focus on the counseling of individuals, couples, and families. Within this framework, I often work in the areas of dysfunctional families, and individuals who are struggling to manage aggressive, angry, depressive, and anxious behaviors. I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults. A variety of issues are addressed throughout the counseling process: including, but not limited to, communication skills, anger management, suicidal ideation, and mood and anxiety disorders. Currently, I work as a LMHP with a community base health center, as well.

I see children, teens and adults in my practice and host various self-awareness and improvement workshops throughout the year. In session, we deal with issues as serious as anxiety, depression, mental illness, addiction, and PTSD and as common as everyday stress and relationship issues. I was born and raised in South Louisiana and feel that I understand our unique cultural prospective on life and how to live it in the healthiest way. In addition, as a trained professional in Diversity Inclusion Equity and Belonging, I welcome individuals from all cultures, gender identity, sexual orientation, and faiths.

Hi, I’m Diamond Triggs. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with over 11 years of experience. I have worked with adults and children, couples, families and groups to address a variety of issues including: substance abuse, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief and loss, trauma and adjustment disorders. I am currently accepting clients experiencing all of the areas above as well as those seeking court mandated evaluations and treatments such as anger management. "How does that make you feel?" is not my approach! In sessions with me, we can focus on new coping strategies and skills to replace old and problematic habits in your life. I enjoy working with my clients using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques. We identify your deeply held values and then take solid behavioral steps towards getting closer to those values. Additionally, I do offer premarital counseling tailored to each couple.
