I use an integrated approach to provide individual counseling and play therapy services to adults and children. I am interested in aiding clients who deal with difficulties surrounding divorce, daily stressors, relationship issues, anxiety and depression. I intend to focus on working with children and families attempting to readjust to the rules and roles of the new family structure that can surface. I will provide a safe environment where clients can work collaboratively with me to identify concerns and process them. I will help clients use this new awareness to determine effective coping and communication skills.

I utilize a variety of systemically based interventions to help invoke change in my clients. This incudes assigning homework to be completed before the next session.

I see counseling as a process in which you the client, and I having come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, develop future goals for an improved life and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals. I focus on clients with general mood disorders, addiction/ substance use and vocational issues. Working to help clients understand and identify their own strengths and incorporating coping skills.
