My name is Lorraine Lagarde I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Louisiana. I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. My career has been spent working with adults, adolescents, and families. I work from a collaborative, strengths-based approach, aiding and supporting clients to be the author of their own lives. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, grief and loss, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and trauma.

I enjoy being able to assist those who are in need of finding a way out of the darkness. Also, my practice focuses on the study of substance abuse/addiction counseling. I have experience working with children and geriatric populations. I think that telehealth and online therapy are very powerful tools that we have to bring our support to more people regardless of whether they are near or far.

My ideal client is anyone suffering from chemical or process addiction (gambling, sex, food, etc) or alcoholism. Addiction and alcoholism are tremendously destructive forces that leave us feeling alone, isolated, and often defeated, but this can be overcome and recovery is possible.
