I am a Licensed Professional Counselor presently working on my dissertation for a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe as well as a former graduate of Loyola University, Notre Dame Seminary and Our Lady of Holy Cross College.

CARE Institute offers various programs including FREE and low-cost teletherapy. Our clinicians approach therapy from a holistic systems perspective to assist clients with learning skills to address life challenges. Clinicians at CARE offer a wide range of expertise to assist clients. Our licensed clinicians are marriage and family therapists (LMFT/PLMFT), professional mental health counselors (LPC/PLPC), and Registered Play Therapists. Our CARE for Y'ALL teletherapy program clinicians are marriage & family therapy graduate students from nationally accredited MFT programs.

I am a Jungian-informed, credentialed music therapist who has been working in the mental health field for 10 years. I believe that the most effective therapist serves as a guide to help participants connect to their innermost thoughts, feelings, and values. I am interested in empowering participants to discover and understand their unique qualities so that they may lead lives of meaning. I utilize the therapeutic relationship to explore attachment patterns in order to help participants understand their own relational adaptations and needs.

I have been practicing as a Clinical Psychologist for 31 years, addressing the needs of individuals, couples, families, and institutions. I have particular expertise in the treatment of sex addiction and compulsivity, as well as relationship and intimacy difficulties. Since 2004, i have served as Clinical Consultant for the sex addiction and compulsion programs at Pine Grove in Hattiesburg, MS. The program is internationally recognized and is based on the ground-breaking work of Dr. Patrick Carnes. Furthermore, for several years, I was the Chief Psychologist for the Masters and Johnson program in New Orleans.
