I am a licensed Professional Counselor and a Qualified Family and Divorce Mediator, and Parenting Coordinator. I received my Master's degree from Our Lady of Holy Cross College and my mediation training through The Mediation Institute. My experience is working with children, adolescents and adults of all ages. I also work with families and couples.

I use an integrated approach to provide individual counseling and play therapy services to adults and children. I am interested in aiding clients who deal with difficulties surrounding divorce, daily stressors, relationship issues, anxiety and depression. I intend to focus on working with children and families attempting to readjust to the rules and roles of the new family structure that can surface. I will provide a safe environment where clients can work collaboratively with me to identify concerns and process them. I will help clients use this new awareness to determine effective coping and communication skills.

As a therapist, it is my belief that everyone deserves to have a safe empathic, non- judgmental environment to which they can begin to better understand themselves and others. Therapy provides the opportunity for growth and change and eventually, a better understanding of one's self. John's knowledge and expertise includes crisis intervention, grief counseling, anger management, anxiety, depression, issues with sexual orientation, and assisting clients in adjusting to and coping with life changes. John is a Certified Schema Therapist and a member of the International Society of Schema Therapy.

I volunteered for ten years serving individuals that were underserved and oppressed. I earned my Bachelors in Social Work from Grambling State University and my Masters in Social Work from Grambling State University I’ve worked in many different clinical settings ever since.
