I have been providing psychotherapy to clients in my private practice, hospital environments and college environments for over 25 years. I received my PhD from Tulane University and formerly held an adjunct professor position at Tulane. I help individuals discover resiliency, confidence, meaning and coping skills in the face of life transitions. I have nearly a decade of experience working with teens, emerging adults, adults, and couples with a diverse range of identity intersections and presenting concerns. My approach to psychotherapy is multidimensional. This allows for some flexibility and creativity in order to meet the diverse needs individuals bring to therapy and in their lives. One common denominator is creating a safe and positive relationship between therapist and client. This is the foundation of good psychotherapy.

I use an integrated approach to provide individual counseling and play therapy services to adults and children. I am interested in aiding clients who deal with difficulties surrounding divorce, daily stressors, relationship issues, anxiety and depression. I intend to focus on working with children and families attempting to readjust to the rules and roles of the new family structure that can surface. I will provide a safe environment where clients can work collaboratively with me to identify concerns and process them. I will help clients use this new awareness to determine effective coping and communication skills.

This is a clinical outpatient setting and we help clients address all disorders listed in the Diagnostic Statistical Manual, 5th Edition - Text Revision (DSM-5-TR).
