Our practice provides a comfortable, private atmosphere that is conducive to creating a sense of well-being which aids in the process of brighter days ahead. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor presently working on my dissertation for a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe as well as a former graduate of Loyola University, Notre Dame Seminary and Our Lady of Holy Cross College.

JW's Creative Solutions, LLC is a Counseling, Life Coaching and Consulting agency. Our mission is to provide: 1) innovative behavioral health services, 2) case management services and 2) other supportive services to individuals addressing life transitional issues. Our agency works from an eco-systemic perspective, which means that we accept a client's immediate family relationships and larger social context as being important resources in solving life's problems. Goals for therapy are always established through collaboration with the client. The overall objective for therapy is always the successful resolution of the problems that are deemed the most important through that collaborative process.

Clients benefit from solution-focused approaches while increasing self-awareness to identify and use strengths, for greater ease of handling life's ups and downs, using clear, simple self-management tools and effective coping. I use psycho-education to ensure client's self-efficacy.

I have 23 years of clinical experience working with a variety of populations including women in crisis, couples, children and adolescents. I'm skilled in helping clients sort through a multitude of personal and mental health issues including depression, anxiety, adoption and infertility, substance use disorders, stage of life challenges, family conflicts, and other mood and personality disorders. I'm also proficient in helping clients navigate the trauma of childhood abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault. I happily serve clients from all backgrounds, yet have a specialized interest in the hearts and minds of Black women.
