I approach counseling as a shared experience focusing on building a trusting relationship with my clients and opening doors to greater self-reflection, insight and empowerment. As your counselor, I want to empower you to explore and manifest the changes needed to meet your goals. I believe our feelings, thoughts, and beliefs all interact and affect our behaviors. It can be hard to identify our true emotions. Our thought processes can be overwhelming or stifling. Sometimes our behaviors do not match our belief system. How do we get to this point? If you find yourself stuck and wanting to understand how you reached this state, I am the counselor for you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with a variety of clients, many of whom have a trauma backgrounds. I use a lot of guided imagery and EMDR in my sessions. The clinician-client relationship is important and flexibility with treatment is necessary in achieving change.

I am a LCSW with 6+ years of experience working with both adolescents and adults. I received a BA from UNO and my MSW from Tulane in 2009. I have inpatient and outpatient experience with adults who have suffered from mood and personality disorders; and with adolescents with self esteem issues and poor coping skills.
