I am a counselor with over 20 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. I use an integrative theory base that affirms the inherent value of each individual and focuses on clients' strengths. My approach is warm and accepting and combines developmental, interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, family systems and internal family systems therapies. I often utilize holistic approaches such a mindfulness and experiential techniques.
With children, I utilize traditional and/or directive play therapy, behavior therapy, and creative activities while maintaining an attachment-focused perspective. The approach I utilize with children focuses on integrating the principles of behavior science into normal family life. With adolescents, I meet them where they are developmentally.
