My interests include working with children & adults who have mental health issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship and family of origin issues, and other behavioral issues. I also have experience with substance abuse and domestic violence. If your issues are in an area that I do not feel comfortable in treating, I will refer to another clinician. Although counseling is an extremely personal experience, it is important to realize that our relationship is a professional rather than a personal one. This means that our time together will be limited to the scheduled sessions that you have with me.

In fact, within these relationships, clients can begin to tell their stories, feel heard, and start finding hope amidst their struggles. I focus on child and adolescent clients with social and anger management concerns, among other issues and concerns. Although it is my preference to work with child and adolescent clients, I enjoy working with adults throughout the life span.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, addressing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, family issues, relationships, self-esteem, anger management, ADHD, personality disorder, behavioral challenges, etc. I have 16 years of experience providing intensive outpatient counseling to individuals and groups. I strongly believe that counseling is a partnership between the therapist and the client, designed to arrive at the needed objectives and goals. Whereas the therapist has skills and training, the client is always the expert on themselves and their families. Only through working together with regard for the dignity and worth of each individual can challenges be alleviated and strengths enhanced.
