I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 30 years of experience working in both outpatient and inpatient settings. During these wonderful 30 years I have had the privilege of being a Clinical Director and therapist for adolescents and adults in trauma recovery experiencing dual diagnoses with mood disorders and substance abuse. For the past several years I have enjoyed working at Hero’s Program of New Beginnings where I work with active duty and military veterans. My areas of focus are working with ages 15+ and adults dealing with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, addictions, mood disorders, self-esteem, OCD and moral injury.

Hi there- I'm Sarah! I am a clinical social worker and New Orleanian, and I am incredibly passionate about the individual and collective healing of my community. I view therapy as a collaborative process centered around respect, advocacy and the hope for change. I have experience working with a wide range of clients, with specific experience working with adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, formerly incarcerated individuals, as well as individuals who are interested in working through depression and anxiety, PTSD, anger management, self-esteem and relationship issues.

These last few years have presented many challenges for everyone. Depression, anxiety, addiction, grief and other issues are on a rise. I have 19+ years of diverse social work experience. I have worked with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings: secure care, inpatient, intensive outpatient, and virtual therapy. I currently work with adults. I use diverse therapeutic approaches that are person centered to treat those with trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance abuse, self-esteem issues and more. I also offer supervision for clinicians with LMSW licensure pursuing LCSW licensure.

Dr. Sasha J. Lambert serves both adolescents and adults through assessment, formal evaluation, and group and individual therapy. She is a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Louisiana.

My interests include working with children & adults who have mental health issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship and family of origin issues, and other behavioral issues. I also have experience with substance abuse and domestic violence. If your issues are in an area that I do not feel comfortable in treating, I will refer to another clinician. Although counseling is an extremely personal experience, it is important to realize that our relationship is a professional rather than a personal one. This means that our time together will be limited to the scheduled sessions that you have with me.
