I work with individuals, couples and families of all ages with a wide range of mental health issues. My training started at The University of Kentucky studying Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2005. I specialize in the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). DBT is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals learn to better manage thoughts, emotions and behaviors that cause problems in living. Examples of problems that DBT effectively treats include mood dysregulation, impulsivity, trouble with relationships, suicidal thoughts and self-harm. Although DBT was originally developed to treat BPD, it is also effective in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD and addiction.
