I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Certified Registered Art Therapist and hold a doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision, working in my own practice, Molly Jo Counseling & Art Therapy Services. I am currently accepting new clients at this location and see children, adults, couples and families. My experience is in both in-patient and out-patient settings focusing on work related to trauma recovery and severe mental health disorders. My area of focus currently is trauma-focused therapy, depression, anxiety, relational issues, and self-esteem.

I enjoy helping adults, couples, and teens cope with the normal yet at times painful transitions in life such as marriage, parenting, blending families, adolescence, divorce,empty nest, relational issues, and self-esteem struggles that plague people with histories of abuse (physical, sexual, or emotional).

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families, in a variety of mental health settings including: hospitals, private practice, therapeutic day schools, and community mental health. I specialize in the treatment of Mood, Personality, Trauma and Attachment disorder. My special interests include Attachment Disorder, ADHD, Issues regarding Divorce, Adoption Issues, Personality Disorders, Parent Education/Training, Post-Partum Depression and Transgender issues.

I provide therapy for individuals and couples navigating a variety of issues. I particularly enjoy working with adults dealing with anxiety related to perfectionism, over-functioning tendencies, burnout, or codependency/boundary issues. I also work with couples / individuals facing complex, difficult to diagnose chronic illnesses or issues surrounding family planning or fertility. A good therapeutic fit for my approach is someone interested in doing deep introspective work, exploring the roots underneath presenting problems and including the body in the process.

I have been working as a counselor in the mental health field for 20+ years. There have been many diverse opportunities where I've provided counseling and crisis stabilization for children, families, adolescents and young adults. My passion is working with children and adolescents. Also assisting families with building communication and empowering them as a whole to find happiness and wellbeing.
