As a child and adolescent therapist, I acknowledge the joys and the challenges we as parents often experience. By working with children and their parents as a family system, there is an increase in the overall efficacy of treatment. Often, many of our struggles as a family stem from our ability to fully understand each others' experiences and view points. Learning to communicate more effectively, regulate emotions, and be more mindful in our every day lives can drastically improve our personal and familial experiences.
I work with children and adolescents who have issues with anxiety and depression. I also have experiences in the areas of ADD/ADHD, behavioral challenges, dyslexia, learning disabilities, PANS/PANDAS, and autism. I also provide both individual and group DBT sessions for children and adolescents.
