My approach to the therapy process is eclectic in style. I listen and learn from you, then take concepts from multiple types of therapy practices that will benefit each client I work with. I understand that life brings unexpected transitions. During these transitions people sometimes need someone to help facilitate change, someone to listen without judgment, or voice their thoughts in order to gain a fresh perspective. My experience working in several inpatient hospitals has provided experience that helped me develop and hone effective counseling techniques and become familiar with counseling people of all walks of life. Experience includes: working with active military personnel, couples, struggles with chronic addiction, suicidal thoughts, and psychosis.

I am a licensed professional counselor and have been working in the field since 1998. I graduated with my BA from Clemson University and my MA from Regis University. I work with adolescents (15 y/o and above) and adults. I have extensive experience in the area of trauma, which has driven my practice. My areas of specialty include trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, anger issues, self -esteem, and relationship issues.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults that struggle (13yo-65yo) with anxiety, depression, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), suicidal ideations/homicidal ideations, self-harm, as well as high-risk youth. I also work with adults who have anxiety, depression and PTSD. I am trauma certified, certified in suicide awareness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I also have training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

Sandstone Care provides substance use, addiction, and mental health treatment for young adults (ages 18 to 30) and adolescents (ages 13 to 18) including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and General Outpatient (OP) programming.
