Hi there! My name is Zeyda. As a therapist-in-training, I believe in healing through creativity, self-discovery, and human connection.

How long has it been since you felt at peace in your life....in your family...in your relationships...in yourself? We chose an olive leaf as our logo because and olive leaf symbolizes peace, and we believe that peace comes by nurturing healthy relationship connections. Maybe you have a difficult child, teen, spouse or extended family member. You want peace in that relationship, and you wake up every morning hoping things will be better....but the same unhealthy patterns happen again and again. You are exhausted from searching for ways to stop the behavior, which only causes more tension in the relationship.

There is this absolute sacred moment in therapy that happens usually right after I hear “I’ve never told anyone this before…” or “I’ve never been able to say this out loud to anyone…” It’s this vulnerable and courageous moment by the client in which the therapist is asked to compassionately both hear and hold their pains. In that moment, I believe is where transformation begins for a client. I also believe that as humans we are in a constant state of evolvement and having support through some of those processes can be invaluable to finding one's life purpose or meaning. I offer both in person and virtual sessions.

In providing individual adult, child and family counseling services, my integration of therapeutic modalities allows for specialized treatment for each client. As a certified Advanced Level Clinical Trauma Practitioner my work with clients dealing with complex or emotional traumas is specific to the education on the effects of trauma and utilizing coping skills that can build resiliency. This approach has helped many families and individuals work through complex trauma, and work toward, and achieve, attainable goals.

John Navejas is registered as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing services in both substance abuse and mental health treatment modalities. John’s career experience began while volunteering with the Homeless Collaborative. John has worked with many populations including adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, substance abuse, anger, relationship issues, and identifying/controlling emotions and thoughts. He has led groups such as Anger Replacement Training, Strengthening Families, CBT interventions for substance abuse and created the first trauma informed yoga group at a juvenile detention facility.

You have it in you, and I can help introduce new skills and awareness in your life. I am also trained as an art therapist and can use artmaking as a tool in or out of session. I have experience in intensive outpatient therapy with teens and adults.

There are a lot of struggles that we go through in our daily lives. Whether there is a struggle within a relationship with a significant other, co-worker, family member, friend, or even ourselves. I assist couples, individual adults, teens, and children to gain or regain a sense of normalcy through compassion and care within the therapeutic relationship. I am also here to help with challenges with depression, anxiety, adjustments to new situations, grief, loss, anger, stress, men’s issues, spirituality, self-esteem, infidelity, behavioral and emotional concerns with children and teens.

Symptoms of depression and anxiety impact the way we function with others in a non-beneficial manner. Often times family problems, work related stress, or issues in relationship can leave you feeling tired, angry, sad, and/or lonely. Therapeutic services can help you improve your relationship with your spouse, children, co-workers, and yourself. We function best when we know how to have a healthy relationship with ourselves, our bodies, and others.

I believe individuals already have the answers inside themselves but sometimes we tend to get lost in the overwhelming feelings of our situations and this is where I can help. I offer a safe space to help guide and walk alongside you through these difficult times. I help individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and overwhelm find happiness. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults with various situations including major life changes, managing stress, relationship issues, self-improvement, anger management, and parenting/co-parenting.

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I enjoy working with a broad range of clients varying in diverse backgrounds with youth, families, adults, and couples. I am affirmative towards BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ experiences. Some areas I find myself especially passionate about are working with clients managing family conflict, boundary work, and hopes for growth in assertiveness.
