I love working with adolescents and adults to guide them through life's difficulties to live a more fulfilling life. I provide individual, family, and couples counseling in a comfortable and private setting. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from the University of Arkansas, and have been practicing for 18 years. I utilize a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, Systems Approach, coping and relaxation skills, Mindfulness, and Self-Care. My primary focus is on adults and adolescents coping with anxiety, depression, adjustment to life's changes, and seeking overall personal growth.

I am a multi-degreed Chicago native, who graduated from ASU with an Education Specialist Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a passion for community and helping others obtain total wellness. I enjoy working with varied populations, i.e., families, couples, adolescents, children, young adults, multicultural populations, and passionately strives, through therapeutic support, to effectively address personal life challenges. I feel proficient in working with anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, self-esteem, trauma, SMIs, and LGBTQIA+ social, individual/community relationship issues.

My ideal client is any person struggling emotionally with anxiety, depression, identity issues and family conflicts. These are just a few of my passions in assisting clients to learn skills for a more emotionally fulfilled life. This begins by improving self-worth and self-esteem through setting attainable goals geared to each individual needs in order to reach their potential self. Life can be puzzling at times and a challenge to learn how to put the pieces back together in a functional way where you can "Thrive" and not just survive.

My goal is that folks feel hope when they leave my office. I believe that individuals, couples, and families are at times lacking the tools to get back on track after they have been derailed by life. I believe healing starts within the therapeutic relationship and I look forward to connecting with clients! My job is to help them on their journey in working toward a healthy outlook and better connections in their relationships. I enjoy working with those who are dealing with grief & loss issues, relationship struggles, adolescents who are figuring out life, & adults who need someone who cares.

As a clinician I tend to focus on building a genuine, warm and positive relationship. I believe that every person has within themselves the power to heal. I see my job as providing my client with a safe and supportive place for them to discover their own strengths. I use stories and metaphors in therapy to help the client discover deeper truths. I also use techniques from a counseling theory called Internal Family Systems and have had much success with it. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, addiction and especially trauma.

Marsha Sproling is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy to adolescents and adults using a client- centered, eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs of each client. Preferred treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Supportive therapy, EMDR, Integrative Sandtray Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I believes that change happens when people are given the support needed to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live a fulfilling, happy life. I have over 13 years experience in a variety of settings with diverse clients providing both long term and brief treatment.

I have been an Independently Licensed Psychological Examiner since 2013 which allows me to provide services most counselors cannot, such as psychological evaluations.
