Depression, anxiety, trauma, pre and post partum, parenting, relationships—these are a few of my specialty areas. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, art therapy, my experience as a certified yoga instructor, and my ongoing training in working with trauma. When we struggle to make sense of our experiences (due to depression, anxiety, grief/loss, abuse/trauma, relational conflicts or new life stressors), we may seek any semblance of control over our situation, grasping for understanding of all the "whys" or seeking resolution/answers to pacify the "what if's." Simultaneously, sense-making may seem inaccessible or impossible. At times, we need someone to hold on to the hope, cultivate space for us to explore & express our story while also learning new tools to navigate. I use a relational, trauma-focused and empathic approach, curiously asking questions while also empowering clients.

Hello, I'm Ashley, my journey as a Licensed Professional Counselor began in 2013 when I earned my Master's degree from Regis University. This summer I will be offering psychotherapy with equine assistance for kids (individual and group treatment) ages 6-adolescents at Affinity Ranch in Parker, CO.

After obtaining my Board Certification in Behavior Analysis in 2008, I used my energy and knowledge to develop ways in which to bring the value and quality of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to those populations that were underserved or often not recognized as people who could truly benefit from ABA. I pursued my professional counseling license to combine the worlds of counseling and ABA for the most comprehensive approach possible. Over the years I have learned that my niche lies with children who struggle with severe behavioral challenges, children/teens on the Autism Spectrum, and children and adults who have endured trauma.
