Hello! Thank you for your interest in my psychology practice for children, adolescents, and young adults. Prior to moving to the Brazos Valley in 2015, I served as a pediatric psychologist in the departments of Pain Management and Psychiatry in a pediatric medical center. I specialize in working with individuals coping with chronic medical conditions and/or pain concerns, including: pediatric pain syndromes, recurrent headache, migraine, functional abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, cancer, diabetes, organ transplantation, and other chronic or complex illnesses.

Lamb Behavioral Health Center provides therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. When working with children and adolescents, the involvement of parents is often very helpful. We treat individuals with mild to severe psychological disorders. We also foster prevention through education and consultation.

My goal as a professional counselor is to provide an authentic and safe space for you to work through concerns while building and utilizing your own strengths. I will assist you in identifying negative thoughts or patterns and help you work towards your goals. I continue to be humbled that I have had the honor be a part of so many people’s stories. With almost 10 years experience as a Mental Health Counselor, I have worked with a wide variety of challenges, diagnoses, and levels of severity. I have a strong interest in working with adults struggling with anxiety/panic attacks, depression, life transitions, stress management, and grief. I also enjoy working with graduate students, pregnant/postpartum women, and medical professionals.

As a mother of three, and a counselor for over 20 years, I know how difficult it is to grow up in this world today. Therapy provides a safe space to work through those things in our lives that are difficult. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and young adults. I use play therapy, art therapy and talk therapy with my clients. I strive to offer hope and solutions to families with children dealing with such issues as trauma, grief, loss, abuse, depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, self harm, and much more. My clients are also those that need solutions for navigating behavior, peer relations, ADHD, ODD or autism.

With 34 years of experience working with children, adults, couples and families, I can help you and those you love navigate the journey of growth and self-discovery, develop and prioritize strategies for achieving your goals and find balance. Hi there, I am a licensed psychologist trained in both clinical and forensic psychology. I provide individual and couples therapy services in College Station/Bryan area. My therapeutic experience has been with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar, and other mental health diagnoses. Additional areas of specialty include coping with life stressors and life transitions. I do not believe that therapy is a one size fits all process. I work with you to help identify the issues you are facing and create goals tailored to you. You are in the driving seat, and my role is to help you reach your destination.

I am 67 years young. I have been a clinical social worker/psychotherapist in the Brazos Valley since 1988. I have a good "grapevine" of local professionals, so I often help clients with information/referral to resources for on-going support beyond therapy. I welcome questions you may have.
