I enjoy working with clients of all ages: children, teenagers, and adults. I have worked with individuals, families, and groups for the past 11 years in both school and clinic settings, helping address trauma, anxiety, depression, and other emotional and behavioral issues. When I decided to become a counselor 8 years ago, I wanted to help people like me. So many of us grew up believing that in order to be accepted, we had to do things perfectly. We learned that if we struggle and need help, that means there is something wrong with us - that we're too lazy, or not smart not enough, or just too needy. So we ended up carrying a lot of our burdens alone so we wouldn't bother others or let them down. But if you're like me, you've probably had moments where you just wanted to stop trying to live up to everyone's expectations, and you just wanted to be yourself.

Often they might be experiencing disillusionment, discontent, doubt or restlessness but are not sure of the reasons why. Many times they seek to alleviate the painful emotions resulting from loss, or dysfunction in interpersonal relationships.
