I view therapy as a safe, explorative space to help you work through the problems you're experiencing as well as learn more about the relationships affecting your life.

The process of beginning therapy can feel intimidating and daunting, but you have already made the first step! Congratulations! I am a firm believer that therapy is for everyone, whether you have experienced trauma, relational struggles, anxiety, or the transitions that are inherent with our lives. Often times, these burdens become much too heavy for us to bear alone and infringe on our growth and ability to reach our optimal potential. I want to help my clients view themselves through the lens of self compassion and growth. I am honored to walk through whatever journey my clients are willing to bring me on.

Progress, not perfection. This is a concept that is often hard to wrap our brains around because we have been conditioned to believe that we have to have it all together at all times, but this is not the reality. Healing is a messy process, and it is the baby steps that add up to crossing the finish line at the end. The process can be difficult and frustrating, but so worth it. I attended Harding University and graduated with my B.A. in Psychology and my M.S. in Counseling. I have 24 years of experience in the mental health field. I primarily treat adults who are suffering from depression, anxiety, trama, PTSD, relationship issues, grief, bipolar disorder, and personality disorder. I believe that every client I treat deserves respect and has the ability to empower themselves to meet their individual life goals. I love what I do and I appreciate every client who walks through my door. I have a specialization in grief therapy and trauma.

Accepting new clients this April! I see adults for outpatient psychotherapy, in the office and via teletherapy sessions. Blue Cross insurance plans only. Currently the self pay fee is $150 per hour long office or teletherapy session.

While I work with the full spectrum of mental health difficulties, I have specific experience working with trauma, abuse, anxiety, attachment/relationship dynamics, identity development, and adjustment to life changes. There is a certain kind of validation and personal development that comes from authentic and genuine connection with another human. Sometimes, being with friends and family provides the support we need. Often times, we need an individualized safe and caring environment to share our deepest thoughts, feelings, fears, concerns, vulnerabilities, past and present experiences and hopes for the future in order to make changes, learn to be and accept ourselves as we truly want to be.

I believe the counseling relationship is a powerful tool for learning to to be kinder and more generous with ourselves. I understand that many of us come from environments, past or present, that tell us we do not "deserve" safety, love, acceptance, or belonging, and sometimes this keeps us at a remove from our communities and loved ones. In my practice, I collaborate with clients to create a safe, shame-free place for moving through and beyond these messages—a place where it is possible to experiment with vulnerability while searching for the most authentic and empowered version of the client's life.
